Google Social Graph
http://code.google.com/apis/socialgraph/
Social Graph is a cool Google API for plotting social networking connections on the Web. It paves the way for users joining new social networks by tracking their existing connections and populating their newly created accounts with the collected data. Social Graph finds out how people are linked based on publicly available data, such as user profiles and personal pages. The API is driven by PageRank-like algorithms and evaluates relationships through the XFN (XHTML Friends Network) and FOAF (Friend Of A Friend) open standards. Social Graph is conceptually related to SpicyNodes, and its output (like data from Facebook and Friendster) can be ported into SpicyNodes’ XML format to create a mashup that displays the social graph.
